 Stimulating Investment through safe Economic Zone 2010-11-18
On 14 November 2009, The Iraqi Institute for Economic Reform held a public policy seminar entitled 'Stimulating Investment through safe Economic Zone'.
The speakers focused on strategies for improving the investment environment and attracting foreign investment. They stressed that the success of any country in attracting investment involves a number of factors including and effetive infrastructure, policies, system and legislation.
The seminar included presentations from the following speakears:
- Dr. Emad Abdul Latif - focused on building economic, trade, and industrial platforms that attract investment.
- Dr. Ikram Abdul Aziz - Focused on economics in relation to investment zones.
- Mr. Basim Antoine - Focused on the practical challenges faced by investors in Iraq.
