Economic Challenges and Future Policies

On 27 February 2010, the Iraqi Institute for Economic Reform held a public policy seminar during the run up to the parliamentary elections entitled, "Economic Challenges and Future policies".

The seminar featured a review of economic programs of the main election coalitions, and a model plan was proposed for the next government.

Dr. Faik Abdul Rasoul, former deputy Minister of Planning, spoke about setting key priorities that would improve living standard.

Dr. Kamal Al-Basri discussed the current economic challenges and proposed strategic for the new term.

The presentations were followed by discussion on vital strategic issues and a set of recommendations were produced
