The IIER holds monthly seminars with the aim of stimulating informed debate on key issues related to Iraq's economic development. Government officials, specialists, and representatives from NGOs are usually invited to present their views. The institute provides independent and reliable data and analysis about the state of Iraq's economy, based on reliable, on-the ground information and critical analysis. This information is currently being used by the government and international organizations that provide aid to Iraq, to ensure optimal resource allocation. The Institute promotes economic reform through a television programmes. In 2005/2006 in partnership with [Al- Iraqiyya ]Television channel called “Iqtisaduna” (Our Economy). Nearly fifty episodes were produced, featuring specialists who discussed a variety of economic policy issues.
